(MyQuincyArea.Com) Quincy, IL - The unemployment rates in Adams County have reached 8 percent and is an the highest in the last 20 years. Only 8% is accountable through the Department of Employment Security.
We have done some research on our own and we have come up with a estimate of at least 18% as the current unemployment rate in Adams County. The 8% is only coming from how many is reported to be unemployed at the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
Illinois Employment rate was steady at 11 percent for 5 months this year.
