(MyQuincyArea.Com) Hannibal, MO - The sentencing for a Hannibal man involved in the murder of a Hannibal businessman is being delayed, because the sentencing assessment report has not yet been completed.

David Ater's was found guilty in September this year for the brutal beating and murder of Rodney Wood.  The murder took place in the 2100 block of Broadway in Hannibal.  Aters was charged with second degree murder and the kidnapping of Wood. 

Nathan Stice 22, was also involved in the murder, and received 22 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter, and for probation violations earlier this year.

Alters sentence is now set for Wednesday, January-6, 2010
