(MyQuincyArea.Com) Missouri - Missouri Residents who buy a home in 2010, may receive a tax break under a proposal by Missouri Treasurer Clint Zweifel and Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon. The proposal would have to get approved by the Housing Development Commission.
The proposal may benefit a little over 10,000 low income residents who qualify and buy a home in 2010. Qualifications would vary depending on the county in Missouri but the Maximum household income ranging from $58,300 to $98,560.
The Missouri Housing Development Commission would also set a side a reserve fund to help cover up to $1,250 in property taxes.
